geek_fights_logo_190x578

ACTION! It’s time to celebrate the kings of cinema as Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Christy Wooke, Greg Blanchard, Jeremy Sacher and Paul Kowalksi bring you the BEST DIRECTOR. From thrill-makers to surrealists, box office titans to arthouse darlings, these visionaries have crossed genres, decades and languages to make us, laugh, cry, rage, think and just plain marvel at the magic of movies.

CUT! THAT’S A WRAP!

Geek Fights #152 Best Sci-fi/Fantasy TV show aka C2E2 Drunk Show

geek_fights_logo_190x578On the off chance, that the idea of listening to us get together in one room and get drunk while we record still appeals to you after the previous two C2E2 shows, Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Christy Wooke, Jerad Formby, Karin, Dave Gill, Tess Craft, Kathy Lehman, (spoiler alert) Anne Geyer, Allen (via Skype) and the incredibly handsome Matt do their best to make sure you never do again. Its less hate crime-y than before, but also somehow less coherent. The first half isnt too bad, but clearly the sharing of the microphone and the random choices (man there is some crappy shows on this list) and the booze and the brownies all lead to a hot mess by the end. It doesn’t really even end, which is ironic as it probably should never have begun.

Geek Fights #150 DC vs Marvel Showdown

geek_fights_logo_190x578

It’s been a while since we have done this one. since then DC has had a NEW 52 and Marvel is NOW. Will that matter any? probably not. Just in time for our annual C2E2 trip, we hit you with some more epic comic book battles. Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Brian Townsend, Pete Lucas and Anthony Kennedy as they bring you the DC VS MARVEL SHOWDOWN. Its super soldiers, amazon princesses, web slingers and men of steel, vs world eaters, emerald warriors, big red cheeses and heroes for hire (and somehow fake news programs hosts show up too). Bring your inter company bias.

Geek Fights #149 Best of Time Travel

geek_fights_logo_190x578

Fire up the Flux Capacitors, hop in the Tardis, and get ready to slingshot around the sun! Wait haven’t we already done his before? Nope that was Best Time Travel movie. But time travel is so much more than movies. It encompasses books, TV, comics and real life scientific theories. And this show encompasses all of that! Join Damon Shaw, Mike Ortiz, Dan Janes, Amin Amat and Lance Langford as they spin the earth backwards to discuss the BEST OF TIME TRAVEL. There’s some real science in here too. After all that Teddy Roosevelt stuff two weeks ago, were becoming a regular Geek Fights University!

Geek Fights is a fixed point in time.
